The BBC Takes An In-Depth Look Into 'Gangs, Drill And Prayer' In New Documentary

May 16, 2018

As the debate rages on as to whether drill music is the reason behind the alarming increase in violent crimes from young people in London, a new BBC documentary Gangs, Drill & Prayer follows Enrique and explores his journey from a South London gangster rapper to an ordained priest at the age of 21.

It also looks at how other young Christians are using rap and drill music to direct gang members away from the streets and towards God. These movements are becoming increasingly popular in the UK and don't come without controversy. It has been accused of being a cult and its morals have been questioned due to the large sums of money involved, as well as people being seen wearing balaclavas in church.

All of these things, as well as interviews with the people to get their range of views, are all present in this insightful documentary. And, in case you missed it, we have "The Final Word" on the matter here.
