Tara Lily Fuses Jazz And Grime With Help From Jammer On "Who Saw Who"

September 13, 2018

When you think of jazz, the last thing you're likely to think of is grime, but Tara Lily manages to use her old school influences alongside production from Jammer (yes, the Jammer) to fuse the two sounds together in a genre-bending track entitled "Who Saw Who".

Speaking about the track, she said: "It has traditional jazz standard progressions with jazz harmonies, melodies and horns mixed up with angry grime beats and double-time rhythms. It's an upbeat song you can vibe and dance to, but with feeling—a telling of real stories and experiences."

Listen to the track below.

Updated on Oct. 12: the video has now been released.
