South London R&B Crooner Kadeem Tyrell Explores Seduction And Devotion On Smooth New 'Feels' EP

May 02, 2018

Having teased out the ultra seductive "Let Me Know" and "Moon" earlier in the year, South London R&B star Kadeem Tyrell is back with the full Feels EP.

As with those two previously released tracks, the remaining four EP cuts expand on that jazzy, almost psychedelic West Coast feel with rich instrumentation and a velvety production courtesy of Emil.A (a producer who, unsurprisingly, cites Kaytranada and Monte Booker as key influences).

As seductive as it sounds, the EP is as much about devotion and proving your love to someone as it is about simply winning their attention. For example, "Moon", according to Tyrell, is "about expression of love and how far you're willing to go to show that love — whether it be a loved one or your lover, it's just about showing the love."

Simultaneously cohesive and free-flowing, Tyrell's Feels is as close as possible to that low-slung L.A vibe without losing the audible influence of his South London home.
