Solo 45 Denies Imprisoning And Raping Four Women As He Faces 31 Charges In Court

January 10, 2019

Andy "Solo 45" Anokye is facing a five week trial at Bristol Crown Court as 31 charges are brought against him. Among those charges are 22 counts of rape, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

Also brought in evidence were tweets from Solo 45 in which the "Feed Em To The Lions" rapper joked about playing "catch me rape me" and offering girls "rough on the verge of rape sex". The tweets have since been deleted but were courted in the Bristol Post's live reporting here.

Christopher Quinlan QC, who is prosecuting the case, described some of the accusations against Solo 45 including that he poured bleach into one woman's mouth, that he waterboarded another woman, and that he threatened to shoot another.

Quinlan told the court: "He imprisoned, physically assaulted and sexually violated and raped four women. He filmed, for posterity, a great deal of what he did. They don't know each other. Yet we say each of them suffered in similar ways at different times at the hands of this defendant."

Over the next few weeks it's expected that each of the four victims will give evidence against Anokye.
