2018 (and the years building up to it) have mostly been uninterrupted garbage fires. However, as we all know, trying times like these usually give us great art. Case in point: Neneh Cherry has a new album out.

Fittingly named Broken Politics, it doesn't take a genius to guess some of the subjects she'll be going into, but the tracks we've heard so far suggest there'll be plenty of surprises too. Earlier this year "Kong" and "Shotgun Shack" were released to a lot of excitement, and now she's back with two more album extracts: "Natural Skin Deep" and "Synchronised Devotion".

The former's a pretty upbeat affair, with a punchy instrumental and even a bit of club potential. The latter dials that back slightly, playing up the jazzy elements and taking the listener on a slightly more cerebral journey.

The two new tracks come just weeks after the Four Tet-produced "Shotgun Shack" and add to the growing hype around her impending new album, Broken Politics.
