After crafting such a strong visual and sonic aesthetic via his instantly recognisable synth melodies and beautifully painted artwork, UK club auteur Murlo is finally launching his own Coil Records imprint. 

According to the release, Coil Records has been "established to house music by Murlo and friends". Appropriately enough, the imprint's maiden release is "Together", a collaboration between the head honcho and UKG and funky champ Conducta.

Balancing the two producers' strong identities, "Together" combines Murlo's trademark underwater synths with Conducta's UKG bounce and snap. Add to that some pitched-up, syrupy vocals and you've got a collaborative match made in heaven. With any luck there'll be plenty more where this came from.

"I've wanted to start my own label for ages," Murlo explained, "but I feel like now is the perfect time. I'm really looking forward to having the freedom to drop music whenever I feel like it, and getting more of my visual work into the world too."
