Mr. Mitch Shares Warped And Colourful Mechatok Remix Of "VPN"

December 12, 2017

Mr. Mitch's development as an artist has been hands-down one of the most exciting things to witness in recent years. The recent Devout album was a shimmering ray of subtle electronics, carefully used space and a profound soulfulness often absent from electronic music.

Naturally, the thirst for a follow-up to Devout has been loud and clear. The album, however, still has a lot to give and repeated listens are still bringing up new elements we previously missed. It seems Mr. Mitch is of the same opinion as he's invited some producer pals to reimagine some of the album's tracks. This new remix from Berlin-based producer Mechatok, for example, gives the Palmistry-assisted "VPN" an almost bashment cadence and an edge of hyperactivity in place of the original's smoky, late-night club vibes.

Check out the edit below and look out for the rest of the remix EP—which promises remixes from DJ Murlo, Tarquin, Silk Road Assassins, Mark Force, and Planet Mu boss µ-Ziq—when it drops on January 26 via Planet Mu.
