Increasingly popular R&B songstress Mahalia is back with brand new single "Proud Of Me" and this time she's partnered with one of the UK's most gifted lyricists, Little Simz. The new cut has a gorgeous '90s vibe via the jazzy, Dilla-esque production and Mahalia's super smooth vocals. That American vibe is quickly punctured by Mahalia's distinctly London tones, of course, and then again with Simz's strictly UK flow.

Whether it's on record or her many freestyles and cyphers, Little Simz has become world-renowned for her verbal agility and she's brought all of that heat to "Proud Of Me". Combining that with Mahalia's golden age R&B sound has proved to be a winning formula for the pair, and one we'd like to see repeated.
