It's been just over seven years since Lowkey released his hugely influential Soundtrack To The Struggle, but after some time away from music he's now back with new single "The Return Of Lowkey" as well as news of an album.

In that period, Lowkey's been anything but quiet. He's been a consistent presence in the media, appearing on TV and radio shows to debate subjects ranging from Grenfell and Brexit to Palestine and Trump, and many more besides.

The new album, Soundtrack To The Struggle 2, looks set to continue that theme in its subject matter. "The Return Of Lowkey", for example, mixes in musings on the crises in the Middle East and far right extremism in the West with bars about his own personal journey and why he's making his return.

Whatever the reason, his return is a welcome one.
