HERITAGE: Lethal Bizzle And Fire Camp Turn Channel U Awards Into A Sweaty Rave (2005)

December 13, 2017

Older grime heads always rave about the glory days of Channel U, and this is why: today's HERITAGE sees Lethal Bizzle and Fire Camp quickly turn what had started as the station's awards ceremony into a shubeen. Opening with the first US-UK grime collab, "What We Do" by Kray Twinz, Twista, Lethal B and Gabby Ranks, the crowd is quickly whipped into a frenzy.

When the opening bars of Bizzle's "Pow" begin, complete with Fire Camp, Ozzie B, Fumin, and a few others on stage with him, the audiences loses it. Whistles, canerows, New Era caps and some amazing trackies—this really was a moment to remember. The 2005 show sadly ended up being the only Channel U Awards show, which makes it that bit more special.
