Kelela Brightens Up The Day With Ultra Sleek "Frontline" Animation

Kelela's break-up anthem "Frontline" first appeared on Issa Rae's hit HBO show Insecure, and quickly became a fan favourite. Now, several months after the release of Take Me Apart, and we're still finding new things to love about the album. The latest visual maintains her consistently high quality with a Sims-like animation style that's both futuristic and surreal. The gorgeous pastels perfectly match her softly-sung vocals and Jam City's rolling, laid-back club production for a truly mesmerising watch.

Kelela told Rolling Stone that she loves speaking to her fans through music videos and "always find it more fun to reference things that we can all relate to that may not be in the forefront. With this Sims-like video, I was able to tell my story in a light-hearted but dramatic way. It's about leaving your ex with the wind in your hair while acknowledging a curiously complex feeling of pain that he has left you for a white woman."
