Over the years, the iconic Dreamscape raves played host to some of the biggest names in hardcore, techno and jungle, including Slipmatt, Ratpack, Carl Cox, Ellis Dee and more.

Usually occupying Milton Keynes' vast The Sanctuary, this one saw Dreamscape head to Shepton Mallet in Somerset for a typically packed-out Dreamscape with the late great Stevie Hyper D and Robbie D on mic duties, with DJ Rap on decks, as they ring in the new year with some raw and heavy jungle.

Stevie Hyper D, if you didn't know, is widely considered to be one of the key pioneers when it comes to jungle MCing, having laid the foundations over 25 years ago with the likes of Moose, GQ and Five-0. Both Hyper D and Dreamscape, in fact, are owed an incredible debt by the entire lineage of UK rave music. Drum & bass, techno, grime, house music, UK garage, UK funky and probably several other strains of dance music would be unrecognisable today if it wasn't for them.
