It wasn't until 2014 that people started to really latch onto Stormzy in a big way, but he'd been trying to tell us about his potential for several years before then.

In 2012 an 18-year-old Stormzy uploaded the video for one of his earliest singles, "The Beginning Of The End", and it honestly stands up against anything he's put out since. Over a big and bouncy hip-hop instrumental, he tells the classic rap tales of attracting the girls who once ignored him and getting into clubs that used to shun him, as well as letting us know exactly how successful he intended to be (Rap's dying and I'm the doctor).

While we suspect even Stormzy's a little surprised by the scale of his success, you have to enjoy seeing him when he's still just a confident teenager, albeit one with bags of talent.
