HERITAGE: Sia Performs The Original Version Of "Little Man" Live

December 01, 2017

Remember back in the day when you could see Sia's face? Possibly not.

This week's Heritage takes us back to the early days of her career when she'd just released a future classic, "Little Man". We're not 100% sure what year this was but it was some time after her 2001 debut album Healing Is Difficult (a very different album from her current output). Accompanying her live are Rod Youngs on drums, Otto Williams on bass and Jesse Favel on guitar.

Anyway, you already know the remix of this one, even if you don't think you do. The golden era UKG sound and sped up vocals came courtesy of Exemen, the production partnership between Wookie and his brother Simon Chu. It's hard to believe a track so synonymous with UK garage came from Adelaide's acoustic soft rock/jazz scene, but there we have it.

Peep the video below and then take a listen to the remix at the bottom.
