HERITAGE: JJ Joins DJ Luck And MC Neat On Stage For "Little Bit Of Luck"/"Masterblaster 2000" Megamix

January 11, 2018

The turn of the millennium undoubtedly belonged to the classic UKG sound perfected and launched into the mainstream by DJ Luck and MC Neat. In 1999 their era-defining "Little Bit Of Luck" peaked at number nine in the UK charts but is probably their most widely remembered hit.

Then in 2000, when it was the thing to put '2000' in as many of your song titles, remixes and megamixes, Luck and Neat did it best with "Masterblaster 2000". The cover of Stevie Wonder's 1980 hit "Master Blaster (Jammin)" became a UKG anthem at the turn of the millennium, hitting number five in the UK charts. It wasn't their only hit that year, though. "Ain't No Stoppin' Us", their cover of Ollie & Jerry's "Breakin'... There's No Stopping Us" reached number eight and "Piano Loco" hit number 12.

2000 was undoubtedly their year. Here they are with frequent collaborator and vocalist JJ, performing a live megamix of "Masterblaster 2000" and "Little Bit Of Luck" at the DanceStar electronic music awards that year.
