HERITAGE: Iconic Record Shop Dark N' Cold Showcase The Best In Underground UK Hip-Hop (2003)

February 01, 2019

This isn't the first time we've told you about iconic record shop Dark N' Cold, a West End spot known for both its extensive library of mixtapes and the frequency with which local rappers could be spotted laying down freestyles or just hanging out with crate diggers — and it probably won't be the last.

Here's yet another clip from the shop's legendary Dark N' Cold Presents UK Hip Hop Untapped Vol 2 DVD. This huge second volume features appearances, music videos and freestyles from Skinnyman, Moorish Delta 7, Rodney P, Skitz, Doc Brown, Tempa, Fallacy and even a young Estelle.

As ever, watch the whole thing etc., but for starters we're focusing in on Skeme and Big P, who're posted up in Dark N' Cold's D'Arblay Street shop to deliver a quick freestyle over a piano-led, reggae-tinged instrumental.
