There are so many reasons to love Goldie, not least because he's "the godfather" of jungle, according to Fabio. In this 1995 documentary (below), Channel 4 followed Goldie in the wake of his first Glastonbury appearance and his iconic debut album Timeless. The double album hit the top 10 and, as Goldie describes it, "you'll find angry, you'll find sweet, nice, musical, deep... you'll find all of that."

In the clip, Goldie talks about the flexibility of jungle. "Once you're into jungle," he explains, "you can then make up your mind what you want to hear from it." He then goes on to discuss the darker side of jungle and how it reflects the "dark goings on" out there. And, just to show how little changes, he points to vindictive policing, poor social housing and a lack of opportunities as the cause of the darkness.

Nothing really changes, does it?
