While you might have first heard of Estelle with her blockbuster Kanye smash "American Boy", her debut album The 18th Day dropped in 2004 and was a hugely underrated but important album.

Going back even further to 2002, Estelle took herself to new levels by teaming up with UK hip-hop legend Blak Twang for "Trixstar"—a track that broke through the mould and was on heavy rotation from MTV Base to Choice FM and further afield.
