HERITAGE: Bashy Delivers A Powerful Freestyle Outside Soho Record Shop Dark N Cold (2006)

August 20, 2018

It seems like a lifetime ago that Bashy was a grime emcee yet to embark on his Hollywood career. Back in the day, Ashley Thomas was one of the most gifted lyricists grime had - we've all seen his legendary clashes, we know his mixtapes, and obviously we know "Black Boys" - but it wasn't just grime.

Here he is freestyling outside legendary Soho record shop Dark N Cold, a spot noted for having any and every mixtape you could ever hope for, firing out some conscious bars of a frosty rap instrumental. Makes you wonder what kind of heat we'd be getting from him now if he hadn't switched to acting.
