HERITAGE: Akala Makes His Incendiary Debut On 'Fire In The Booth' (2011)

March 07, 2019

Following the widely shared clip of Akala on Channel 4 News discussing the many interlocking factors behind the current surge in violent crime in London, we thought it timely to revisit this legendary Fire In The Booth.

As has always been the case with Akala, this freestyle plays to his enthusiasm for sharing the knowledge he's accumulated about politics, philosophy, history and various social issues.

In his debut FITB, below, Akala breaks down everything from corruption and the prison system in America to some of the tropes in hip-hop that he feels need to be dropped, hurtling through countless other subjects along the way.

Also, make sure you check out episodes two, three and four here.
