HERITAGE: A Very Fresh Faced P Money Drops A Quick Freestyle Ahead Of 'Money Over Everyone' Release (2009)

April 11, 2018

A leading name in what is widely considered to be grime's second wave, P Money first came up with his crew OGz, alongside Blacks, Jendor, Little Dee, Desperado (and a few others along the way). Through relentless rave appearances and radio sets, P Money quickly became known for his breakneck flow and incredible dexterity.

Here he is, just before the release of Money Over Everything, dropping a quick freestyle for Swifturk Visions. As ever his knack for taking a metaphor and running with it, he includes some of the bars from the project feature, namely the extensive food metaphor from "Fruits & Veg", culminating in the golden line You're not on a beef ting / you're cabbage

The whole thing is a masterclass in wordplay, diction and rhyming structure, but more than any of that, it's immensely quotable from start to finish.
