Way back in the mists of time, TV talent shows weren't the slick, ultra-polished industry monoliths that they are today. 

One of the earliest iterations in the 2000s was Fame Academy. By today's standards, it was quaint and endearingly low budget. And while most talent shows almost never cough up any genuine talent, even a broken clock is right twice a day. One rare gem from Fame Academy was Lemar, whom you may also remember from Simon Amstell's Lemar From Afar segment on Channel 4's Popworld. 

Jokes aside, he actually released a couple of hits, most notably "50/50". So take a trip back to simpler times with this acoustic performance of the song from 2003.
