Ghetts' Long-Awaited 'Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament' Has Landed

September 14, 2018

Back in 2007, Ghetts released his landmark album, Ghetto Gospel. The album gave us a whole new side to Ghetts, displaying his more thoughtful side as he spoke on his relationships with the women in his life. At the time, GH was already well established, but was keen to move away from any perceptions that he was just an "angry rapper". As we now know, he pulled that off perfectly.

The follow-up arrives at a time when Ghetts' multi-facteted musical output is well established, but that didn't stop fans wanting more of the soul and gospel-infused grime. The album drop was preceded by the stunning "Black Rose" a couple of weeks ago, and then "Preach" earlier in the week.

Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament brings the sounds first explored on its predecessor of 10+ years ago firmly into 2018 with a huge production value, gospel choirs and well-selected features from the likes of President T, Stefflon Don, Chip, Little Simz, Suspect, Donae'o, Kojey Radical and Wretch 32.

At 17 tracks, there's a lot to get through. So you'd best get started.
