Fredwave's Debut EP 'Failure' Gives A Bleak Insight Into His Own Self-Loathing

December 01, 2017

TRENCH favourite Fredwave has just released his debut EP, Failure, and it more than lives up to the legacy of previous cuts "Home" and "Kno Betta".

Fredwave's always been known for making very introspective, personal and unique music, but the new five-track collection takes that to new levels. The quote that came with the release told us the EP provided "an insight into the confusion and chaos in the mind of Fredwave who once considered himself a Failure."

Written and produced by the man himself, Failure gives an unflinching and searingly honest assessment of where his head was at and how he was feeling at the time. Whether that's through the pained vocals and cavernous open spaces or the samples of him being berated for not getting his benefits sorted properly, it's searing stuff.

Failure is an impressive debut for an artist who's already turned a lot of heads. Take a listen below.
