It's been a little while since we last heard from Dave — February's "Hangman", to be exact — but he's now back with what we hope won't be his last drop of the year.

Written, produced and co-directed by Santan himself, "Funky Friday" sees the UK rap auteur link up with Fredo, someone who's also been quiet recently as he presumably works on his upcoming album.

It might not be an obvious pairing, but then Dave has always been a versatile rapper and his love of gritty UK rap is by no means a secret. Together, the pair have created something that feels like a best of both worlds meeting of Fredo's raw, trappy hip-hop and Dave's more laid-back, more cerebral lyricism.
