British-Zimbabwean Singer Kwaye Shares Intimate And Seductive New Single "Jasmine"

December 01, 2017

This should make fans of R&B's golden era very happy. After debuting with the infectious "Cool Kids" and a couple more singles besides, British-Zimbabwean singer Kwaye is bringing 2017 to a close with the sultry visuals to his latest single "Jasmine". With a noticeable influence from the likes of D'Angelo and Prince, Kwaye's disarmingly sweet vocals deliver an intimate story of romance and its tumultuous nature.

"For me, romance isn't dead," Kwaye explained. "'Jasmine' embodies the highs and lows of intimacy. With this video we wanted to strip it back...The fact that it is a one-shot performance definitely helps add to the rawness and intimate nature of the song." Writing songs in that territory and with voice that could seduce anyone, Kwaye is an icon in the making.
