Bristol Radio Station SWU.FM Drop Charity Comp f/ Pinch, Sam Binga, Foreign Concept, Javeon And More

January 08, 2018

Recently founded Bristol radio station, SWU.FM (South-West Underground) have just dropped a brand new compilation called The Bridge that draws together some of these various strands, and it's all in the name of charity.

Contributions for the collection come from Pinch, Ishan Sound, Foreign Concept, Sam Binga, Terri Walker, L U C Y, Kyrist, Sepia, Unkey and many more local and UK producers. While not everyone on the tracklist is from Bristol, the tone of the tracks could not come from anywhere else. Whether it's techno, dub, drum & bass or anything else, that mercurial 'Bristol sound' can still be heard.

The new comp has been put together by the station with support from The Blast and digital platform I Give You Give, and aims to bring together "Bristol's underground music scene and three exceptional causes", and to "represent and celebrate the diverse elements of Bristol's thriving music scene."

All of the album's proceeds will be distributed between three charities: Help Bristol's HomelessMental Health Foundation, and Médicins Sans Frontières (Doctor's Without Borders).

To grab a copy of the compilation head over to I Give You Give, and check out previews of The Bridge below.
