Bakar Takes Football Back To Its Roots In "Million Miles"

June 21, 2018

If you're getting sick of the World Cup and its blanket coverage across your TV, you might be of the opinion that real football is about playing under the floodlights with a coloured bib on and cold mud splattered up your legs.

If that's the case, Bakar has a treat for you. In his new "Million Miles" video, directed by John Ford Glance, he plays a football prodigy struggling to live up to high expectations, and flanked by his team and a coach who uses bad language and insults like an orchestra. To match the energy on the pitch, Bakar uses a framework of choppy post punk guitars and angular rhythms with just a hint of grime in his delivery.

"Million Miles" is taken from his recent BADKID album, which is out now. Get riled up with it below.
