Ambush Pays Tribute To His "Day Ones" With Some Help From Presi Pros

September 19, 2018

With arguably the song of the summer with his "Jumpy" remix, Ambush has created a wave for himself and it's not a bad one, full of flashy bars, beautiful women and a braggadocio attitude. But on his new track "Day Ones", he brings in fellow Buzzworl member Presi Pros for something a bit different.

In tribute to his cousin Nuno "Neenz" Cardoso who was killed by police (who are currently awaiting trial in November), as well as Lewis "Dotts" Blackman and Kwasi Jr "Lavish" Anim- Boadu who died shortly after, the song is in memory of all three. Harking back to the early 2010s when UK road rap was at its peak, the song is touching, with both AMB and Presi putting their pain on the track through heartfelt lyrics as well as a sincere hook from Ambush, who will probably surprise many with his vocal ability.
