TRENCH Radio: 9 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This week, as ever, the nights have been getting shorter and shorter and the temperature is dancing around the zero mark. So, with the exception of one or two, this week's mixes have gotten a little colder too. Okay, so Shy One and Swing Ting founders Samrai and Platt both delivered mixes soaked in heat, but the techno contingent was out in force (it's not too gloomy, though). Every single mix, without exception, is wildly eclectic and each one will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the globe—not least Björk's mind-expanding mix which we've given pride of place at the top of the list. So, if you don't like what you hear, just wait for the next sound.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
