TRENCH Radio: 8 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

As we ring in the new year, crawling out from beneath the pile of credit card statements and cumulative hangovers, let us find solace in music. This week has seen some of your favourite names brush the January blues off like they're nothing and deliver some perfectly-curated mixes. Easing is in this week there's an entrancing, polyrhythmic session from Lisbon's DJ Firmeza; a laid-back rap mix from PBDY; a melody-driven mix of bassline and UKG from Flava D; some hands-in-the-air house music from mysterious remixer Cottam; a gloomy, synth-pop collection from CC Honeymoon; and a driving techno session from The DJ Producer.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
