TRENCH Radio: 11 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

With no respite from the heat coming any time soon, we've decided to take pity on you and slow the tempo a little. Ethiopian-American selector Eden Hagos (pictured) took us on a tour of the sounds that raised her; Chilean-born DJ and producer Natureboy Flako got way, way out with a mix of ambient, jazz and other sonic experiments; Dubwise Jamaica and the man behind the man behind the Reggae Aroma mixes Yaadcore mixed together his favourite bright and breezy reggae classics; Strict Face gave us one of selection's most uptempo mixes this week with his bass-heavy mix of bashment, dancehall and rap; but it was Edinburgh DJ and producer Proc Fiskal who gave us the hardest mix of this week's rundown with a blend of UK hardcore, grime, techno, footwork, all ranging from 145bpm right the way to 160.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
