TRENCH Radio: 12 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This week, well, there isn't really any overarching, convoluted theme tying everything together, so we'll just skip right to it. It was, however, an unusually bumper week for mixes. L U C Y threw down a mix of her own productions that showed off her wide-ranging palette as well as the full highlight reel from her excellent latest EP Locations; Steve from Masterchef 2017 aka D&B DJ/producer Survival linked up with Script under the SCAR banner to get us in the mood for the five-room Metalheadz takeover at Egg in London on May 6; TS7 put out a head-banging onslaught of bassline, speed garage and 2-step; Roska delved into his infinite bag of funky thumpers; and Bailey and Need For Mirrors from the Soul In Motion club nights got deep and soulful with their breaks-driven selections.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
