SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This year was a bit of a downer for Ninja Tune stans as the label called it a day on their Solid Steel mix series after 30 years. To celebrate they've put out a bunch of high profile mixes, but our favourite came from The Bug. Elsewhere on SoundCloud, Finn called on Mella Dee for the latest in his B2B series for an hour of solid, golden age rave; Addison Groove got us all nostalgic with his 2013 era mix; Detroit house selector DJ Holographic (pictured) rounded out a big year with some classic, piano-led house music; and, finally, FlyLo collaborator PBDY came through with a dramatic and mind-expanding beat selection.
