TRENCH Radio: 10 Of The Best Mixes This Week

SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This week was tougher than ever—not least because Notting Hill Carnival is approaching and everyone's making their presence known—and many gems had to be left on the cutting room floor. What we have included, though, is pure gold from start to finish. First thing's first, Swing Ting kicked off Carnival season with vibrant, bass-led tour round the Caribbean; Riz La Teef went bananas with a mix that took us from house to grime to breakcore and a thousand other things besides; rave master Neil Landstrumm linked up with Brian Rays for a primal session of eardrum-shattering rhythms; 'Lucky Girl' Nina Las Vegas (pictured) got into it with a heart-racing session of some of the global club sounds she explores, from Baltimore to South London and everywhere in between; and, finally, Chicago's finest DJ Deeon got our feet moving with a soulful, bouncy hour of house classics.

This is TRENCH Radio's best mixes of the week.
