SoundCloud (while it still lives) can be an impenetrable, infinite stream of music, often of varying quality. You need a soundtrack to start your weekend right, but you don't have the requisite lifetime to trawl through the week's new DJ mixes. To help you out, we've done the busy work for you. We'll be running this series every single Friday of every single week to bring you the very finest in house, grime, techno, bashment, R&B, trap, D&B and no doubt a bunch of extremely trendy stuff that doesn't have a name yet.

This week things have been a little heavier than usual. Mixed in with the usual club selections, hip-hop, grime and garage, we've had a surprising amount of dark techno and D&B to sift through. We could've easily done a straight breaks or techno selection this week, but we've still kept it a little varied. Among others, Hyroglifics, JASS and Homemade Weapons all made the cut with their hard, late-night mixes and just to add some contrast we've thrown in a spaced-out futuristic mix from Kareful and some more party-oriented mixes from Cardinal Sound, Kade and the rest.
