EXCLUSIVE: Vision Crew Are Moving Like Pros On Drill-Focused EP Cut “Blue Side”

In a mere four years since they established themselves, Vision Crew's WhackEye, Goldie, Pascall, Ezro and Tyzz have each cemented their reputations as top flight lyricists in the UK's underground. Though they're mostly known for their grime output, for their new single "Blue Side" (taken from the impending Swimming In The Blue EP, due later this year) they've switched up their sound for something a little unexpected. Gone are their grimey flows, replaced by a drill-centred sound that’s guided forward by WhackEye's ominous, sparse rap production.

Adding to that, they've pulled together some equally ominous visuals, bathing the crew in deep blue lights amid various settings around the capital—a simple but effective concept that gives each of them the spotlight to focus our attentions on the beats and bars. Whether or not the rest of the EP follows suit is anyone's guess, but one thing's for sure: whatever expectations you had for Vision Crew in 2018 are about to be flipped on their head.
